LOTTO Thüringen BIKEPARK Oberhof | Opening Hours & Prices

The LOTTO Thüringen BIKEPARK Oberhof is more than just a name for mountain bike fans in the Thuringian Forest: it is a complete outdoor playground for flow, technique, airtime, and family moments at Fallbachhang. Those searching for bikepark oberhof opening hours, bikepark oberhof prices, directions, parking, or trails usually want to quickly know what to expect on-site. This location delivers exactly that: a clearly structured bike area with lift operation, trails for different skill levels, a jumpline, a pumptrack, a landing bag, rental, service, and refreshments at both the valley and mountain stations. The facility is located at Alte Ohrdrufer Straße 6a in Oberhof and is officially operated as a bike park with seasonal operation. The website announces the season start expected from May 1; additionally, the park is open according to the opening hours page from Thursday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and additionally on Wednesdays during the summer holidays. This makes the bike park interesting for both spontaneous day visitors and planned weekend trips, as technique training, descents, and breaks can be easily combined. Opening Hours, Season, and Ticket Requirement

Those wishing to visit the LOTTO Thüringen BIKEPARK Oberhof should first understand the seasonal logic. According to the website, the park is expected to open on May 1, clearly as a summer season location and not as a year-round accessible park. The regular hours listed on the opening hours page are Thursday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM; it is also noted that the bike park is open on Wednesdays during the summer holidays. Separate hours apply to the gastronomic areas: the umbrella bar at the valley station is open Thursday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, while the umbrella bar at the mountain station is open Thursday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:45 PM. This is practical because a ride session can be easily combined with a clear meal or coffee break. Additionally, the ticket requirement is particularly important: the trails in the bike park, including the jumpline, may only be used with a valid ticket; the park explicitly points out that pushing up with a 5 or 10 ticket is not permitted. Prices start at €4.00 for an uphill or downhill ride for adults without sports equipment and range from hourly tickets to day tickets with sports equipment. Additionally, there is a key card deposit rule of €2.00, and the tickets are personal and non-transferable. Therefore, those wishing to ride flexibly should plan their ticket choice well from the start, as the price structure is designed for different lengths of stay and riding intensities. Thus, a spontaneous visit quickly becomes a calculable bike day with clear rules and predictable costs. ([bikepark-oberhof.de](https://bikepark-oberhof.de/events/rookies-cup))

Trails, Routes, and Riding Experience

The strongest argument for the bike park Oberhof is the trails themselves. The website lists 11 trails with varying degrees of difficulty; in addition, there is a trail network of about 10 kilometers. In practice, this means: there is not just a single downhill line, but a whole range of riding styles that develop from flowy and playful to technical and demanding. Current trail types include flow, freeride, downhill, jumpline, enduro, landing bag, and pumptrack. The fact blocks contain very different profiles: the freeride trail measures 800 meters, the downhill 900 meters, the jumpline 350 meters, the enduro area 3 kilometers, the landing bag is described with three jumps, and the pumptrack covers 800 square meters. Additionally, there is the Gipfelstürmer Family Trail, which is a 2-kilometer long flow trail primarily aimed at beginners and younger riders, as well as further flow and enduro variants with easy, medium, and expert levels. This mix makes the location SEO-strong and content-wise exciting, as search queries for bikepark oberhof trails, pumptrack, or landing bag all meet different expectations. Practically, this means: beginners can learn technique, cornering behavior, and rhythm on easier lines, while advanced riders seek more airtime, root passages, drops, and natural terrain sections. The lift at Fallbachhang transports bikes and riders comfortably uphill, allowing for multiple runs in one day without exhausting stamina on the first ascent. The terrain is thus not only sporty but also cleverly organized: uphill by lift, downhill by trail, and in between, depending on desire, a round of pumptrack or jump training on the landing bag. Directions, Parking, and Contact

The directions to the LOTTO Thüringen BIKEPARK Oberhof are clear and location-based: the official address is Alte Ohrdrufer Straße 6a, 98559 Oberhof. This is particularly helpful for those searching for bikepark oberhof directions or bikepark oberhof parking, as the valley station serves as the central point of contact. The bike park crew is located there, tickets, rentals, and many services start there, and the practical visitor flow is concentrated there. According to official event communication, there are paid parking spaces directly at the valley station on Alte Ohrdrufer Straße as well as directly at the mountain station on Tambacher Straße. This is ideal for day visitors, as one has the choice between starting at the bottom or the top, depending on whether one wants to go to the ticket counter, rental, or directly to the trail first. The website also points out that the parking spaces at the valley station should not be used as camping areas, which is relevant for event days and weekends. Those wishing to make contact can reach the bike park by phone at +49 036842 / 21 405 or by email at info@bikepark-oberhof.de. For SEO and user expectations, this mix of address, parking situation, and direct accessibility is particularly important, as visitors do not have to search long for orientation. Oberhof itself is known as a sports location on the Rennsteig, and the location at Fallbachhang fits well into this outdoor identity: arrive, unload, get a ticket, and go. This uncomplicated structure is valuable for families, biker groups, and beginners as well as for experienced riders who like to plan their sessions efficiently. Rental, Refreshments, and Services on the Mountain

A good bike park not only thrives on its trails but also on how easily one can spend a whole day there. In the LOTTO Thüringen BIKEPARK Oberhof, rental, refreshments, and service are therefore firmly integrated. Those who do not bring their own bike or complete protective gear can rent bikes and accessories at the valley station; the website even recommends making a reservation for rentals. In addition to rental bikes, there is high-quality protective gear, so even guests without their own equipment can start a well-prepared day. There is also a repair service at the bike station or at the valley station, which is supposed to help with minor problems with one's own bike. The free bike wash station, where the coarsest dirt can be washed off after the session before heading back to the car, is also practical. For breaks, the park offers a diverse range of refreshments at the valley station with drinks, Thuringian bratwurst, baked potatoes, salads, as well as changing daily specials and soups. There is also an umbrella bar at the mountain station, which extends the daily routine up and down and makes the location significantly more comfortable. Such services are also relevant for the search intent bikepark oberhof rental or bikepark oberhof photos, as they show the park as a fully usable leisure destination: organize equipment, eat, take photos, continue riding. This is also important for families, as children and beginners particularly benefit from an infrastructure that forgives mistakes and offers quick solutions. Therefore, those arriving quickly realize that Oberhof promises not only trails but also experiences: short distances, clear services, appealing break spots, and enough infrastructure to stay relaxed on the premises for several hours. Safety, Lift, and Events at Fallbachhang

The bike park Oberhof is sporty but not trivial: the safety rules are clearly formulated and should be taken seriously. According to the usage regulations, the trails are not groomed or secured; riding is at one's own risk. Before the first ride, the trail should generally be inspected, and helmet use is mandatory on the entire descent slope, and the warning signs must be observed. Additionally, the website specifies technical limits for lift use: bikes with front wheel sizes from 24 to 29 inches are hung behind the seat, smaller bikes at the seat post; the maximum weight for (E-)bikes is 30 kg. Those riding in the bike park should also observe the right-of-way rule: the front and weaker biker always has the right of way and must not be forced. The lift itself is also part of the experience, as during the bike season, not only bikers but also hikers can ride with the modern lift at Fallbachhang and enjoy the view of the Thuringian Forest and the surrounding sports facilities. A typical event is the PROPAIN Rookies Cup 2026: it takes place from June 12 to 14, 2026, in the LOTTO Thüringen BIKEPARK Oberhof, with a race track of 1,100 meters and 120 meters of elevation. This shows that the park has not only leisure but also event and competition character. So, those searching for bikepark oberhof safety, events, or family-friendly riding fun will find the right mix of rules, sporting challenges, and professional organization here. The combination of lift operation, event infrastructure, and different trail levels makes the location particularly versatile: beginners learn in a protected environment, advanced riders get their adrenaline fix, and event days bring additional dynamics to the slope. This versatility is precisely why the location works for many target groups and appears both informative and emotionally strong in the content. I can give it five stars for kids, families and very beginners. If you are a skilled rider chasing thrills, there isn’t much to do, unfortunately. Trails are not much maintained, quite short given that the hill is not that small, and built without a flow in mind, at least in comparison to other parks. Looks like it works during summer only to generate cash from parents till winter comes, not trying to give anything outstanding for MTB riders. Curious to come back with a board and find out :)

No trail maintenance at all. Somewhat badly layed out trails, bad trail surface (except for the Enduro trails), dangerously incompetent safety personnel, super slow lift. Extremely high prices for what you are getting. Just don't go there and if you do, don't buy a lift ticket and ride up the mountain by yourself, you will be quicker than the lift anyway

There is something for everybody. If you come for the first time to a Bikepark the 3h Ticket is a good choice. On the other side if you're fit and experienced a full day ticket is a good choice but it might get boring.

Nice bike parc, several different well maintained trails (flow, jump, downhill trails) in between beautiful mountains. Lift is ok, staff very helpful.

I think it's best place, for riders, in the area with lift. Tracks are very interesting. Service is also very friendly.
