40 Years of Slusia: Schleusingen Starts the New Season with Festive Momentum
When the council of eleven takes the stage, the dance groups showcase their new choreographies, and the first hearty Slusia-Helau rings out in the hall of the rehabilitation center, the fifth season begins in Schleusingen. At the carnival kickoff on November 14, 2026, the SCC Slusia e. V. celebrates the start of its 40th season with a new program, a lot of stage energy, and a good portion of festive surprises.
A Gift for the Mayor – But with a Surprise Effect
A special moment awaits the audience during the traditional visit from the mayor. The association presents him with a gift, the content of which remains a secret until the big reveal. This blend of tradition, local humor, and spontaneous audience reaction is what adds charm to the Schleusingen Carnival: No one knows everything, but everyone wants to be part of it.
Speaker with Thuringian Laughter Guarantee
Witty speeches will be provided by Bernd Rost and Johanna Lautensack from Weimar. The duo is considered the dream team of Thuringian speakers and brings wordplay, observation skills, and carnival timing to the stage. Between sharply delivered punchlines and hearty laughter, a comedy atmosphere arises that doesn't rely on quiet chuckles but on the big shared laugh moment.
New Dances, Familiar Passion
The dance groups of SCC Slusia have also prepared and rehearsed new dances. Precise choreographies, colorful costumes, and visible joy on stage make the carnival kickoff a varied laughter experience with show elements. Here, club work, stage technology, and genuine enthusiasm come together – an evening where the audience won't remain seated for long without wanting to dance along inside.
Carnival with Heart, Humor, and Club Spirit
The kickoff for the 40th season combines classic speeches, dance, local tradition, and exuberant festive spirit. The mix appeals to carnival fans as well as anyone looking for an entertaining evening filled with pointed humor and lively stage presence. The audience can look forward to quick reactions, hearty laughs, and an event where the spirit of the club is palpably felt throughout the hall.
