Baroque Elegance and Romantic Sound Colors in the Magdalenenkirche
On Friday, November 6, 2026, the South Thuringian Chamber Orchestra invites you to a festive concert in the Magdalenenkirche in Zella-Mehlis. Starting at 6:00 PM, works by Friedrich II, Antonio Vivaldi, Johann Sebastian Bach, Edvard Grieg, and Luigi Boccherini will be performed.
From Baroque Clarity to Romantic Warmth
The program connects different eras and sound languages: precise baroque lines, dance influences, contrasting orchestration, and romantic colors. The works of Friedrich II, Vivaldi, and Bach stand for stylistic clarity and musical elegance, while Grieg and Boccherini open up further sonic perspectives.
Intimate Live Atmosphere in the Magdalenenkirche
The Magdalenenkirche creates a special setting for the concert experience. In the concentrated acoustics of the church space, string sound, dynamics, and musical synchronization gain a compelling effect. Between quiet, finely crafted passages and more powerful tutti moments, an immediate audience atmosphere is created.
