When Egerländer and Oberkrainer come together to make the hall resonate
On Thursday, November 5, 2026, two prominent sound worlds of brass music will meet at the Congress Centrum Suhl. Alexander Wurz and Die Egerländer Musikanten – The Original will encounter Sašo Avsenik and his Oberkrainers for an evening concert full of joy in playing, precision, and musical friendship.
Two traditions, one common sound
The summit meeting connects the warm, powerful Egerländer sound with the buoyant and virtuosic Oberkrainer style. The musicians do not simply take turns on stage: they alternate, accompany each other, and continuously merge into a large sound body. This creates a lively musical synchronization in which brass players, woodwind players, accordion, rhythm group, and vocals unfold their characteristic colors.
Alexander Wurz continues the Egerländer tradition
Under the direction of Alexander Wurz, the traditional Egerländer music receives new energy. The conducting combines tonal discipline with visible joy in playing. Precise entrances, finely tuned orchestration, and direct communication between stage and audience shape the stage performance.
Oberkrainer feeling with Sašo Avsenik
Sašo Avsenik and his Oberkrainer bring that mix of lightness, virtuosity, and warmth to Suhl that makes the Oberkrainer style unmistakable. Lively melodies, striking brass sections, and the dance-like rhythm create a live atmosphere that immediately gets people moving.
A concert evening for brass music fans
The event is aimed at everyone who wants to experience traditional folk music, Bohemian-Moravian brass music, and Oberkrainer sounds in a large ensemble. The concert in the Great Hall of the CCS begins at 20:00, with entrance starting at 19:00. The planned duration of the event goes until about 22:30.
Conclusion: Friendship, Emotion, and Great Brass Music Sound
The ultimate summit meeting promises a concert experience with powerful brass, virtuosic solos, catchy melodies, and an audience atmosphere that jumps directly from the stage into the hall. Anyone who wants to experience Egerländer Musikanten and Oberkrainer live together should not miss this special evening at the Congress Centrum Suhl.
