Simon & Garfunkel in Suhl: An emotional journey through folk rock
On Thursday, November 12, 2026, the duo Bookends will bring the legendary songs of Simon & Garfunkel to the Great Hall of the Congress Centrum Suhl. Simon & Garfunkel Through the Years combines precise harmony singing, virtuosic guitar work, and an atmospheric stage performance into an intense concert experience.
Harmonies that wrote music history
The show follows the meteoric rise of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, who became defining voices of folk rock in the 1960s. Their music lives on finely tuned orchestration, poetic melodies, and an emotional synchronization of two voices that still sounds unmistakable today.
Bookends celebrate the great classics
Dan Haynes and Pete Richards have been performing as Bookends for this tribute project since 2011. Their program features songs like The Sound of Silence, Mrs. Robinson, The Boxer, and Bridge Over Troubled Water. The production has performed in London’s West End and has toured through the UK, Europe, the USA, and Australia.
Live atmosphere with authentic sound
Outstanding vocal harmonies, acoustic guitars, and a carefully constructed arrangement create a warm, detailed sound. Between quiet, almost intimate moments and powerful peaks, a crowd atmosphere arises that makes the timeless character of the compositions immediately palpable.
A critically acclaimed tribute show
The production has received recognition from international media and was described by Stuart Cameron, BBC and ITV presenter, as one of the best tribute shows in the world. BBC Radio praised the concert as a masterpiece. Simon & Garfunkel themselves sold over 38 million albums in the USA, received ten Grammy Awards, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
Conclusion: Experience folk rock classics live
Simon & Garfunkel Through the Years promises an evening full of memories, fine acoustics, and great melodies. Those wanting to experience the magic of The Sound of Silence, Mrs. Robinson, and Bridge Over Troubled Water live in a detailed homage will find the right concert evening at the Congress Centrum Suhl.
